Last January, Tyreke Evans beat three Raptors off the dribble and scored the game winner with just under two seconds remaining. The Pelicans would go on to win the game, 95-93, and that win would prove to be important as it was book-ended by bad losses to the Sixers and Knicks.
The Pelicans will be without Evans and most likely Anthony Davis, but the team will welcome the return of Jrue Holiday. New Orleans has performed markedly better when he's been on the floor as evidenced by a 46.3 team FG% and an average of 114.2 points a game. His -24.1 plus/minus indicates the Pelicans are desperate for his floor general leadership.
Toronto will be without Terrance Ross and quite possibly DeMarre Carroll who is dealing with plantar fasciitis. With Gentry likely to play smaller, look for Toronto to counter with a back court of Kyle Lowry and Corey Joseph, moving DeMar DeRozan to small forward.
