Performance Rankings: Pelicans vs Grizzlies

Not even a Woj-bomb deterred the Pelicans beating the Grizzlies.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

After a disappointing loss to the Charlotte Hornets, of course the Pelicans would come back and beat the third best team in the Western Conference, the Memphis Grizzlies. The Pelicans never trailed in the game and met the Grizzlies intensity with fantastic hustle of their own.

Right before the game, Monty Williams inserted Dante Cunningham in place of Tyreke Evans into the starting lineup, and for at least one night, it served to be a magical elixir. Although Cunningham didn't score, he made his impact felt with a number of blocks and offensive rebounds.

4 Pelicans scored 20 or more points: Jrue Holiday (23), Tyreke Evans (21), Anthony Davis (20) and Ryan Anderson (20). Eric Gordon chipped in 13.

I'll have the full recap up in a bit, but for now, let's see some love for the guys. I'll also have more on the latest news swirling around Quincy Pondexter's possible return to the Crescent City.
