Performance Rankings: Pelicans vs. Wizards

New, comments

The Wizards may have the Pelicans number, but the referees were totally asleep at the wheel.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

For the second and final time this season, the Pelicans lost to the Washington Wizards. In 8 quarters, we showed a difficultly scoring against them, and on the other end, slowing them down. Worse, the referees seemed to have it out for the Pels tonight with missed call after missed call.

After a slow start, Anthony Davis got going in the 2nd half and finished the game with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Tyreke Evans matched him in the points department and also had 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks. Jrue Holiday and Ryan Anderson were the only other Pels in double figures.

I'll have plenty more in the recap a bit later, but please, feel free to vent in the comments section or with your votes. As a special bonus, I added the referees to the list tonight. Think it was fitting?
