Steady at 15th
The Pelicans would have enjoyed a great 3-0 week, with wins over the Suns, Spurs and Rockets, if it wasn't for Omer Asik accidentally tipping in an inbounds pass for the Spurs. That turned into an overtime loss.

Up two spots to 12th.
With wins over Phoenix and Houston, it could have been a really great week for the Pelicans if Omer Asik didn't send Wednesday's game in San Antonio to overtime by scoring for the Spurs ... or if they didn't let the clock run down for Tyreke Evans to shoot a three when they were losing in the extra period. Anthony Davis is 18-for-20 in clutch time, by the way.

Steady at 13th
Did you know that Anthony Davis (PER: 31.4) is now 4-for-4 in his NBA career on go-ahead shot attempts in the final 24 seconds of the fourth quarter or overtime? Or perhaps we should pose the question in the manner preferred by Bill Simmons and frustrated Pels fans: Does Monty Williams know that stat?
Sports Illustrated
Up one spot to 14th
The Pelicans are weathering an absolutely brutal stretch of schedule fairly well, beating the Suns and Rockets last week and falling just short in OT against the Spurs. Things lighten up soon with seven of their next eight games against the East.

Guard Eric Gordon might play against Washington on Monday after missing the past 21 games with a shoulder injury.
CBS Sports
Down two spots to 13th.
Their 95-93 loss on New Year's Eve to the Spurs should have been a win if not for Omer Asik's accidental assistance on Tim Duncan's tip-in to force overtime. Still, wins over the Rockets and Suns are impressive. They're playing well. Can they build some consistency for once? Eric Gordon's set to return this week. Is that a good thing?
Stats of Note
Ryan Anderson averages 18.7 PPG & 5.7 RPG at home posting a scorching 62.5% TS%. Pelicans play in The Blender tonight
