Performance Rankings: Pelicans vs. Mavericks

The losing streak to the Mavericks ends at 9 games!

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

The streak has finally come to an end! After 9 straight losses to the Mavericks, the Pelicans finally have managed a win against Mark Cuban's team. In addition, the Pelicans have now won 3 games for the first time this season.

The Pelicans seemed to seize control of the game in the 3rd quarter, but a well-timed Carlisle technical foul turned the momentum back in Dallas' favor. For that moment on, New Orleans was whistled for 6 more fouls, but the Pelicans persevered well. They even made a liar out of Lawler's Law (Dallas got to 100 points first).

For the game, Anthony Davis finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds, Tyreke Evans had 24 and 12 assists (only 3 after halftime though.) After a 6-7 start, Ryan Anderson went scoreless in the 2nd half. Omer Asik had another double-double (in only 24 minutes of action) and Quincy Pondexter was huge off the bench.

Stay tuned for David's full recap coming up a bit later, but for now, let's enjoy this win against the Mavericks and our very own 3 game winning streak!
