As though the Pelicans didn't already have enough problems with fighting superstition and their latest W-L-W-L-W-L... streak, our friends at SBNation NBA made us aware of another one:

In the first half, the Pelicans were completely flat. Considering they were playing their 3rd game in 4 days, shorthanded and without their two best players, New Orleans succumbed to their 3rd loss on this Eastern Conference road trip.
A very disappointing result for sure, but it's hard to win against anybody when Ryan Anderson goes 4-17 from the floor, and in general, the Pelicans missed a lot of good looks.
Tyreke Evans had 23 points and Eric Gordon 20. Omer Asik had 11 points and 17 rebounds. After a slow start, Alexis Ajinca recovered some and posted 8 points and 11 rebounds. Quincy Pondexter got hot late and chipped in 10 points.
Matty will have your full recap a bit later, but it's not going to be pretty. The Pelicans lost three games on the road trip to teams with a combined record of 31-94.
