Performance Rankings: Pelicans at Pacers

New, comments

The Pelicans were never threatened to win the game thanks to too many missed shots and turnovers.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Pelicans lost to the Pacers in a low-scoring affair. One never got the sense the Pelicans had a legitimate chance at the win, even though they were within double digits for much of the game. The team had trouble putting the ball consistently through the hoop the entire night, and 15 turnovers versus 15 assists ensured a dismal point total.

Anthony Davis finished with a team-high 21 points. Jrue Holiday had 16 but it took him 21 shots to get there. After a solid start, Tyreke Evans went missing in the second half. After some useful play of late, the bench were only able to contribute 17 points (Ryan Anderson only had 4 on 1-8 from the floor) on 20 shots in approximately 90 minutes of action. That's not going to get it done.

I'll have a full recap up in a bit, but in the meantime, go ahead and give some votes.
