It's the final preseason game on the docket, but fans will be deprived of viewing pleasure once more. It's a shame too because it would have been nice to see how the Pelicans stack up early against a playoff team that many consider has improved from last season.

3 Things to Listen For:

1) How will the Mavericks handle Anthony Davis? Tyson Chandler seems like the best candidate for the job so it'll be interesting hearing how AD fares against one of the better defending big men in the league. (Conversely, will Omer Asik have a huge rebounding game with Dirk Nowitzki on him?) Although I expect Brandan Wright will get some minutes, it would be wild to see Al-Farouq Aminu get a turn on the Brow too.

2) How will our defense fare? To date, the Pelicans have held the opposition to an eFG percentage of 45.8%. The Mavericks have the fourth highest scoring average this preseason. Something has to give.

3) Will the Pelicans actively seek three pointers? The Pelicans had been averaging nearly 10 more 3's a game until the last several preseason games. Will we hear about a renewed focus on the coveted perimeter shot or a real threat of returning to last season's doldrums?

If you haven't guessed yet, I'm not happy about merely listening to the game. Nevertheless, Geaux Pels!
