- Gia Allemand, the girlfriend of Ryan Anderson, passed away after an apparent suicide attempt, according to a statement released by her family. Our deepest condolences go to Anderson, the Allemand family, and all those effected by the tragedy.

- Nikola Pekovic has re-signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves, agreeing to a 5-year, $60 million deal. The deal reportedly contains neither player nor team options. Though the deal was not completed with the expected urgency, the terms appear to be within the realm of previous expectations. To clarify, Minnesota is still able to grant a 5-year extension, a provision not used on Kevin Love despite his wishes, because the single five-year extension restriction only applies to rookie contract extensions. Pekovic was signed as a restricted free agent.

- The Washington Wizards signed veteran forward Al Harrington to a one year contract.

- The Philadelphia 76ers have officially hired Brett Brown, formerly an assistant of the San Antonio Spurs, as head coach.
