Pre-game notes:
- The 2013 NBA draft lottery positioning could be significantly influenced by tonight's outcome. Currently the Hornets have one more loss than the Kings, but they need to at least maintain that edge in the final standings as Sacramento owns the tiebreaker (Hornets won season series). One never fully wishes to see their team lose; however, I'd wager many would consider it for the greater good.
- The Hornets have lost 4 of their last 5 games in Sacramento. Despite a Kings 4 game losing streak, they nearly beat the Grizzlies this past Sunday. They should also be well rested in facing a Hornet squad coming off an emotional loss in Los Angeles.
