Pre-game notes:
- Interesting shoot-around quote by Monty Williams today:
Williams’ scouting report on the Lakers: "They still run pick-and-roll. (Steve) Nash has the ball a bit more. Dwight (Howard) is posting up a bit more. They don’t run as much as most teams in the NBA, so we feel like we have to push the pace a little bit
Considering the Lakers are third in pace, I'm not positive what Monty is alluding to. Do you?
- For the gamblers, here is an interesting tidbit:
The Hornets are 4-1 both straight up and against the spread in their last five games as a home dog against a Pacific opponent with a spread between 0 and 3.5 points. The Lakers are 1-5 against the spread (2-4 straight up) in their last six games as a road favorite against a Southwest opponent with a total between 200 and 205 points.
Does anyone dare bet against the Hornets? :)
