Good news for Tyreke Evans - Dell Demps said yesterday that Evans should only be out 1-2 weeks and should be able to play in the season opener (home on October 30th against the Pacers). That's a big sigh of relief for all Pelicans fans. Here's the tweet from John Reid:
Pelicans GM Dell Demps said on tonight's radio broadcast that Tyreke Evans could be out one to two weeks, but should be ready by opener.

Sounds like Evans's injury was just a garden variety sprain. I was pretty worried the night of the injury, when Evans seemed to clearly be in pain:
Can't sleep ankle killing me but I will be back

Thankfully, he's feeling much better now, sending out this tweet very early this morning:
She got me feeling some type of way

I'll assume Evans is talking about the Pelicans' excellent training staff.
