The first game of the season is finally upon us! Story lines all over the place tonight - the Pelicans will have their first home game with their new team name, colors, and jerseys, as well as the first game in the new renovated arena. For the occasion, longtime Hornets fan favorite David West is coming to town. He'll have a fascinating matchup down low with Anthony Davis - New Orleans's past and future at the power forward position will be on the court tonight.

The Pacers are on the tail end of a home-road back-to-back after beating the Magic at home last night by 10. Roy Hibbert hobbled off the court with an injury to his left knee, but he's supposed to be good to go for tonight's game. Per the Times-Pic, Eric Gordon will have no minutes restrictions and Tyreke Evans has been given the green light.

UPDATE: As noted earlier, Ryan Anderson is out tonight and sidelined for 1-3 weeks with a fractured toe. Bummers. I am heading to the Hive Nest(?) now. Happy Opening Night everybody! First Pelicans game in history. Have fun and let's fill up the comments. -Will
