New Orleans Hornets rookie Anthony Davis will likely miss another week due to a stress reaction in his left ankle, according to John Reid of NOLA.com.

Hornets coach Monty Williams made the announcement after Sunday's practice. Davis dressed for the practice but did not participate in any contact drills. The rookie was still in a walking boot when New Orleans played the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night. Williams had said last week that Davis would undergo further tests and would be out at least another week.

Davis has not played since scoring 28 points and grabbing 11 rebounds against the Milwaukee Bucks on Nov. 17. The No. 1 overall pick actually injured the ankle the night before against the Thunder, but still played at a high level against the Bucks. New Orleans has gone just 1-6 in the seven games that Davis has missed.

Prior to going down with the injury, Davis was posting excellent numbers. He is averaging 16.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 28.3 minutes per game.
