Anthony Davis practiced on Monday and could return as soon as Tuesday, according to John Reid of The Times-Picayune.
Davis has been cleared for full contact drills and is currently working on his conditioning as he attempts to return to the floor. The Hornets are 2-9 since Davis went down with the ankle injury and have lost three games in a row to fall to 5-14 on the season overall. The Hornets are 2-4 with Davis in the lineup this season.
Davis is averaging 16.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.2 blocks on 49.3 percent shooting from the floor this season.
This is Davis' second injury of his rookie season as he missed two games earlier this year due to a head injury that he suffered when he collided with fellow rookie Austin Rivers on Nov. 2.
Davis has missed 13 of the team's first 19 games this season due to injuries.
