Per a Hornets press release today, the team has extended the contracts of guards Greivis Vasquez and Xavier Henry through the 2012-2013 season.

Henry is yet to play in a game for the Hornets this season, although he was in uniform for the first time during last night's loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Vasquez has played in all 17 of the team's games, averaging 19 minutes, 5.6 points, and 3.1 assists per contest.

Terms have not been released, but per the NBA rookie contract scale structure, Vasquez will be due $1.19M next year, up from the $1.11 he will make in 2011-2012. Henry's option next season will pay him $2.32M, up from $2.17 this season. Since both Henry and Vasquez are second year players that were selected in the first round of the 2010 NBA draft, the Hornets own team options for both players for the 2013-2014 season as well.
