Speaking of dream shakes, check out The Dream Shake, where Tom Martin (and friends) do a superb job.

The Rocket Outlook

Houston was red hot in December. They picked up just four losses in the month (MIL, MIA, CHI, OKC). But since the new year began, they've struggled to replicate that success. Granted, their December schedule was far easier than their January one. But through 7 games, they've won just once (a road victory in Boston).

Subplots

  • Houston is a very strong offensive team, primarily fueled by their ability to shoot efficiently and get to the line.
  • The Rockets like to push the pace. By possessions per game, they're fifth in the league, averaging just shy of 95 possessions.
  • Defensively, they're a mess. They allow high percentages to opponents, they don't force turnovers, and they don't rebound misses.
  • Go Hornets.
