Rasual Butler Stays in Los Angeles [Updated]

Pretty interesting news out of LA:

The Los Angeles Clippers re-signed forward Rasual Butler. Terms of the deal were not announced, but a source close to the negotiations confirmed it was a one-year deal.

The old Hornets regime clearly thought of Butler as a starting caliber guard, and while it's unclear if the new one feels similarly, Butler was surely an option for 2010-2011.

With the signings of Ronnie Brewer, Marquis Daniels, Tony Allen, and now Butler, the Hornets options for a bigger off-guard continue to dwindle. For the time being, it appears Mo Evans will remain with the Hawks and Josh Howard will remain with the Wizards. The Lakers are apparently trying to give away Sasha Vujacic's contract so they can retain Shannon Brown

If New Orleans is indeed looking for a starter at SG, it's becoming increasingly obvious a trade must be made.

UPDATE: Aubrey Coleman, the nation's leading scorer in 2009-2010, and a member of the Hornets' summer league team, has just signed in Turkey with Aliaga. Hat-tip to Ridiculous Upside.
