I'll admit, I don't know a lot about the Pelicans roster or coaching, but I've got a question, and was hoping I could get your guys' opinion.
So after stalking you're blog here for a couple of days, I've noticed a reaccuring theme, and that is your teams lack of a SF. This has become of great interest to me for reasons I'll explain in a minute. I also understand that the pick you gave to the 76ers is top-5 protected, and so your team needs to shoot for either being really good, or really bad (am I right so far?) To me, a roster of Davis, Holiday, Gordon, Anderson, and now Reke is probably too good to be top 5 bad. Especially with some teams wanting to be awful this season. Now with this understanding, let me pose my question.
The Celtic's are picking up Gerald Wallace from the Nets in this deal for KG and PP. Wallaces' contract is awful, and many of us Celtics fans are trying to figure a way that we could move him off our roster as we look to rebuild/reload. I was wondering if you guys would have any interest in Wallace. He had a bad year in Brooklyn, but over his career he's been a solid starting-caliber SF, something you guys seem to need. If you were interested in Wallace, what would you guys give up for him? I think he could be had for relativly cheap, and was wondering what you guys might think was fair. Or if there is just no interest at all.
At any rate, I look forward to your replies. Here is one possibility I put together, but it largely hinges on rumors I've heard that you guys want to move Gordon. I don't know if that's the case, but with Reke coming in, it makes sense.
