Good news for Tyreke Evans - Dell Demps said yesterday that Evans should only be out 1-2 weeks and should be able to play in the season opener (home on October 30th against the Pacers). That's a big sigh of relief for all Pelicans fans. Here's the tweet from John Reid:

Sounds like Evans's injury was just a garden variety sprain. I was pretty worried the night of the injury, when Evans seemed to clearly be in pain:
Can't sleep ankle killing me 😩😩 but I will be back 💪💪💪— Tyreke Evans (@TyrekeEvans) October 6, 2013
Thankfully, he's feeling much better now, sending out this tweet very early this morning:
She got me feeling some type of way— Tyreke Evans (@TyrekeEvans) October 8, 2013
I'll assume Evans is talking about the Pelicans' excellent training staff.
