Hornets Open to Trading 10th Pick for a Guard

It was "reported" last week that the Hornets would be willing to dump the 10th pick if a team took back the contract of either Emeka Okafor or Trevor Ariza. Dell Demps moved quickly to dispel that rumor, insisting that the Hornets were of course considering all options, but likely wouldn't pull the trigger unless they received something more than just cap space.

Today, Hoopsworld's Alex Kennedy reports that the additional value they are seeking may come at guard:

In a way, it's nothing we don't know already, though the "guard" aspect (point? shooting?) of things does make it interesting. It is notable, though, that the 10th pick trade talk just won't go away. So while there do appear to be multiple exciting options at that draft slot, the Hornets may well have a different player in lieu of the selection by the time the draft rolls around.
