From the times-picayune. It makes sense why there would be interst on Malone's part. He worked with Mike Brown in Cleveland all five years that Brown was there and the Lakers are a much more glamorous job than the Hornets are. Malone was mentioned as a candidate for the Rockets head coaching job this offseason as well. Given all that's been said, it may not seem likely that Malone stays in New Orleans but I hope he does as he's done a great job as an assistant with the team.
