Hornets on the Internets: No More Pops Edition

Your morning links. Happy National Bird Day

  • Read more about National Bird Day here.
  • The Hornets waived Pops Mensah-Bonsu yesterday afternoon, bringing the roster count to 14. Marcus Banks still remains a Hornets, more than a month after his arrival from Toronto. D.J. Mbenga is also on a non-guaranteed till January contract, so we'll keep an eye on him as well.
  • The Hornets are nearing the attendance benchmark by the game. Over the next 6 home games, the team must draw a combined 88,187 fans, or 14,698 per game. That mark is certainly very achievable.
  • A young professionals consortium is chipping in to help the attendance cause.
