It shouldn't come as a surprise that the Hornets have looked for some extra help at the guard position -- even though GM/Coach Jeff Bower recently said the team would not pursue an extra player to help with minutes at the point. After injuries to All-Star guard Chris Paul and rising star Marcus Thornton, Bower really didn't have much of a choice.
For a backup point guard (who will be backing up a rookie that realistically should be a backup player right now), the team certainly could've done worse than snagging Hart. His career averages of 4.8 ppg and 2.3 apg aren't anything to write home about. But they'll keep Darren Collison from having to play 48 minutes a night.
According to the NOLA.com article, we should see Hart in action tonight against the 76ers. Any thoughts on Jason Hart from y'all? I'm only somewhat familiar with him from his days with Utah.
Either way, here's wishing a speedy recovery to Chef Paul... and Li'l Buckets... and the Hornets' chances to ever win at home again.
