At the Hive's New Photographer

There's an unwritten rule* in the journalism world that goes thusly- never sit on something good. Unfortunately, I've broken that rule over the past couple of weeks by sitting on some really excellent news.

Matt McIntosh of Storm Surge Photography (check out his company page and some of his prints for sale here) is officially joining the At the Hive staff as the site's press photographer. Needless to say, this is something I'm extremely excited about, and it's a development that can only enhance the content here. 

Matt and myself will be working on some interesting photo project/series for the site. He was credentialed and courtside when the Detroit Pistons played the Hornets at New Orleans Arena a couple weeks ago. Some of his best shots from that game are after the jump. Give him some love in the comments!

*Actually it's probably written in some wrinkly old textbook somewhere, but that's neither here nor there.
